Lodisna Team Torrentó performed well in Jerez, with Álvaro Fuertes achieving sixth place
This weekend, Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto hosted the second round of the FIM JuniorGP. Lodisna Team Torrentó demonstrated clear progression, achieving an outstanding result thanks to Álvaro Fuertes, who is still recovering from an injury to his left arm.
In Saturday’s qualifying session, Fuertes went straight into Q2, setting the 14th fastest time. Sviat Pylypenko, on the other hand, competed in Q1 and finished 7th, allowing him to start from 20th position on the grid.
On Sunday, Fuertes got off to a flying start, gaining several positions in the early stages of the race. He maintained a high and consistent pace throughout, enabling him to keep moving forward until he crossed the finish line in an impressive sixth position. Pylypenko finished 22nd in a demanding race.
Both Fuertes and Pylypenko have shown remarkable improvement compared to the first round of the championship in Estoril. Lodisna Team Torrentó is now looking forward to the next round of the calendar, which will take place at the French circuit of Magny-Cours on 5–6 July.
FERRAN TORRENTÓ
Team Manager
“We leave Jerez very satisfied. It has been a very positive weekend for the team, in which Álvaro has achieved a lot after a difficult start to the pre-season for him. We have to congratulate him for his great result. I am convinced that he will be even stronger at Magny-Cours and will fight for podium positions.
Sviat also made a solid step forward, and even if this was not reflected in the race result, he showed a solid performance. The whole team worked very well in Jerez in very hot conditions. I would like to take this opportunity to thank, as always, our sponsors and the fans for their support”.
