Lodisna Team Torrentó kicks off its first season in the FIM JuniorGP at Estoril

Lodisna Team Torrentó has started its journey in the FIM JuniorGP championship with the first round held at the Estoril Circuit, Portugal. The debut in the Stock category was marked by changeable weather and some setbacks, but the Navarrese team did its best in a demanding weekend.

Álvaro Fuertes, who has been suffering from injury, showed courage and commitment to compete despite the difficulties. Just three weeks ago he underwent surgery for a triple fracture in his left wrist and his participation in the Portuguese circuit was in doubt until the last moment. Fortunately, he was able to arrive on time and complete the weekend.

Sviat Pylypenko, for his part, left with a good feeling on the bike and continued to improve his performance, despite being penalised in Saturday’s qualifying session for lapping slowly in some sections of the track.

In the race the Valencia rider started from 24th position and made a great start to finish 16th. He pushed hard and managed to defend his position until the end. The Ukrainian rider, who started from 32nd and last on the grid, also made a good comeback to finish 23rd.

The next round of the championship will be held at the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto on the weekend of 31 May and 1 June. The team has already set its sights on continuing to grow and improve its results.

Despite the obstacles, the team worked hard to adapt to the circumstances and I am happy with the race performance of both Álvaro and Sviat.
